In addition to the information we have on our site, we have put together a list of some websites that may be of use to you. All these links are specifically selected by our vets to provide quality information that is relevant to Australian pets. We welcome any suggestions you may have for other links.  

  • Animal Eye Care
    A Melbourne-based opthalmology clinic with several specialists in their field. The clinic's principal, Robin Stanley, comes to Belmont Vet Centre on a regular basis for more complex eye cases from both our own cases and surrounding clinics. Surgical patients are treated in Melbourne.
  • Advanced Vet Care
    A Melbourne-based multi-specialist referral centre. This is where we send many of our most difficult cases, such as neurosurgery. Surgical patients are treated by Dr Sam Snelling. There is also medical specialist care provided by Dr Steve Holloway, behaviour specialist Dr Gabrielle Carter and 24-hour emergency and critical care facilities.
  • Geelong Creatures Comfort
    Dr Kim Lim is a Geelong-based vet whose practice, Geelong Creatures Comfort, treats animals using chiropractic and acupuncture-based care. It is a referral-based clinic and we have had success for animals with neck and spinal pain and other muscle and joint problems.
  • PetNet and Selecta-Pet
    An Australian website that discusses and guides selection of a new pet depending on your individual situation. It is also a source of other information about pet ownership in Australia, such as pet-friendly beaches, parks and holiday areas.
  • Our Wonderful Pets
    An Australian website for remembering all our much-loved pets, celebrating the bond between people and their furry family members.
  • Care Credit
    Care Credit is a service we offer in association with an external provider to allow finance of our services. The website provides information on the system, any fees and interest involved, and allows you to register in advance from home.
  • Veterinary Partners
    Veterinary Partners is a client resource created by respected vets for you, which provides some additional information about diseases, disorders and treatments we may discuss with you during consultations.
  • List of Inherited Diseases Australia
    This website has been created by Sydney University vets. It has been built for both vets and pet owners, and is a list and discussion of genetic and inherited diseases and conditions that are seen in Australian cats and dogs.
  • Frontline Pet Registration
    A website from Frontline, one of the flea control treatments we stock, which allows you to register your pet and recieve email reminders for when their treatment is due.
  • Our My Vet Online site
    Our site as part of the My Vet Online website provides a wealth of information on many common problems as well as videos and instructions to help with giving medications.
  • Animals DNA
    Animals DNA is an external laboratory which offer genetic testing for a variety of hereditary conditions in pets. We offer their tests in-house so you can get the tests performed and have professional assistance with interpretation of the results all as part of our service.
